Humanitarian Award

December 19, 2025

On December 19, 2025, a long-time resident of the City of Loma Linda, residing in the Alto Camino Mobile Home Park, reached out for assistance after experiencing issues with their home heating system and lacking the financial resources to make the necessary repairs. Recognizing the urgency and potential safety concerns, the City of Loma Linda contacted Loma Linda Heating and Air Conditioning to assess the situation.

During their inspection, Loma Linda Heat and Air Conditioning identified serious safety hazards, including a non–mobile home–compliant heater, improperly installed flue piping, and unsafe oxygen levels within the residence. Following their recommendation, Southern California Gas Company responded and red-tagged the unit due to these life-safety violations.

Understanding the resident's circumstances and the immediate health risks involved, Loma Linda Heat and Air Conditioning went above and beyond their professional obligations by graciously offering to install a new, fully compliant heating system at no cost to the resident. Their selfless actions ensured the safety, well-being, and comfort of a vulnerable community member.
